If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to design your own sewing patterns but didn’t know where to begin, this workshop is the perfect first step — and you’ll be learning from one of the best.

Rachel from Sew Teach Me is a qualified patternmaker, dressmaker, and couture sewing specialist with decades of real-world experience under her belt. She’s worked in design rooms, managed fashion production both locally and overseas, and taught advanced fashion at the highest level — and now she’s here to share all that wisdom with you.

You’ll learn how to draft patterns for:

Techniques for moving darts around a bodice

A basic bodice with a shaped neckline

Waistbands

Gathered, A-line, and flared skirts

This one-day workshop is perfect for curious sewists who are ready to learn how to modify and create patterns. With a class size of six, you’ll be gently guided through each step with plenty of support, encouragement, and practical tips.

Everything you need is provided — tools, pattern paper, and easy-to-follow course notes that you can take home.

By the end of the day, you’ll have a solid understanding of how to adapt patterns and start building designs that reflect your own unique style.

Home sweet home

Our cosy sewing studio is equipped with sewing machines, cutting tables, and all the tools necessary to bring your creations to life. Our well-stocked studio kitchen is available for tea and coffee while you sew and create.

Throughout the workshop, you’ll meet like-minded individuals who share a passion for sewing and become part of our creative community.
