Sew much fun: Easter school holiday sewing club
Sensational Sewing is offering holiday sewing classes in their new Toowoomba sewing studio.

Children and teens between the ages of 8-17 years old can tap into their creative side this Easter, and sew to their heart's content whilst making new friends. Sensational Sewing's holiday sewing club offers kids the chance to learn how to sew and explore a new creative hobby.
The holiday sewing club is on from Monday 3rd to Thursday 6th April between 1 pm - 4 pm each day. Students can choose to attend the full program or choose sessions. Beginner sewers will learn how to create simple projects like tote bags and cushion covers. Experienced sewers are welcome to bring their own projects to work on.
Director, seamstress and teacher, Sally Scarlett says that she enjoys teaching people how to sew because of the pride students experience once they've finished their first project.
"I love the sense of achievement from students who are always surprised to have created something by the end of the first lesson. Their joy is infectious and I love being able to share that moment with them."
Sensational Sewing has recently moved into its new sewing studio on Station Street in Toowoomba's CBD. The new studio provides a welcoming space for the community to share their passion for crafts together.
"The studio is a space for students to explore their creativity in a nurturing environment. There's no competition as each student is focused on their own artistry, and I find students encouraging each other, so it's a lovely atmosphere."

Sensational Sewing is working on expanding its current offering of sewing classes and workshops for the local community. Having opened their doors in 2013 to start the sewing school, Sally has passed on her technical skills to many students over the years.
